Plasterboard can be used in various ways such as overboarding existing damaged ceiling or walls in Bury.
When overboarding a ceiling, we will find the existing joists and fix the plasterboard to them with screws, creating a new ceiling to plaster.
Plasterboard is also used on walls and ceilings for creating new stud partitions or it can be applied to walls using a method called "dot and dab".
Dot and Dab is where an adhesive is applied to the back of the plasterboard and stuck to the wall.
The Dot and Dab gets leveled and finished to to create a perfectly flat wall for plastering onto. (This is normally used on uneven or badly damaged walls).
Alternatively, the same method can be used (using a tapered edged plasterboard) which is then finished with a fine filler. This method is known as drylining.
